Hey I’m Jake, and welcome to my guitar blog.
When I was younger, the guitar was everything to me. I remember spending hours trying to learn riffs, rewinding songs, watching YouTube tutorials, and dreaming about being good enough to play onstage someday. But like many young musicians, frustration eventually won.
I hit a wall, progress felt slow, and life started pulling me in different directions. Eventually, I put the guitar down – thinking maybe it just wasn’t meant for me.
Years passed. I focused on work, responsibilities, and everything life throws at you as you grow up. But something was always missing that creative spark and sense of freedom that only music ever gave me.
Then one day, I picked up a guitar again… and everything changed.
The moment I started playing, I felt that old connection spark right back to life. This time, though, I’m approaching guitar differently – not chasing perfection or comparing myself to others, but enjoying the process, celebrating small wins, and appreciating the journey.
I realized it’s never too late to start again. In fact, coming back with more patience and perspective has made the experience even more meaningful.
